Best Romantic Restaurants in Haight

I honestly think yall need to evaluate your pricing. Bottles of wine being 5x the glass price is kind of insane, and I think every pasta being greater than $30 is somewhat laughable. A $48 gnocchi just because you drown it in truffle…come on, now.

Always solid and reliable for an excellent meal and amiable service. The upstairs dining area is much quieter, a great perch from which to enjoy the livelier atmosphere downstairs.

My second time enjoying Antonio’s creative culinary expertise. His passion for the flavors of Puglia shine with every dish. Tonight I started with the Bufala Caponata which is out of this world delicious. The most praiseworthy pasta on the menu is his mother’s own Orecchiette recipe. The staff are very welcoming, and the ambiance is perfect for a casual evening out in the lower Haight.

Foreign Cinema is by far one of the best restaurants in San Francisco and throughout the years they have maintained the same quality level. The food is beautifully presented and the innovative flavors are a pleasant surprise to the palate. They have something for everyone. The crew is very well experienced and their recommendations for wine pairing is always right on. Don’t be surprised if they bring complementary dishes. We have been dining at Foreign Cinema since they open and we will continue visiting them.

This was an amazing dining experience. We love Indian food, and although we are not versed in “authentic” versus what we’ve experienced in the United States, at the very least these are good quality dishes. The service was impeccable as well. The dining area was super elegant with traditional Indian artwork on the walls, fresh roses on the tables, and a view of the chef preparing food. Thank you!
