We always have plenty for everyone; including vegan and gluten free dishes. Located right in the centre of Rye, a short drive from camber sands. We are open for Brunch, Lunch and dinner. Brunch and lunch walk ins only, bookings for dinner. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS IN FOR DINNER SERVICE!!During the day you can bring well behaved dogs when we are walk in only.

We make British food with a classic or modern slant. We source our ingredients from the local fields, woodlands and waters. Everything is cooked on the premises, including the sourdough bread and the icecreams.The Good Food Guide (2023) says: "A fittingly quaint old building, complete with original features, given a suave modern twist via grey panelling and contemporary furniture. The Two Sawyers is a 16th Century Inn recently refurbished and under family ownership. We pride ourselves on serving excellent beer and food. We have a large beer garden to the rear of the pub with over 30 tables for our guests to use for both drinking and dining. A character bar with log fires serving guest ales, beers, and wines. The restaurant serves traditional pub food twice both lunch and evening and all day on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

    Wonderful lunch at delightful Mermaid Inn to impress our Fijian guests. Surrounded by wooden beams and fireplaces added to the experience. We were looked after very well; the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious - risotto and crab starters and roast beef, roast lamb and sea bass mains. One of the highlights was the innovative charcoal butter! Will definitely go back for another memorable experience.

    We had another wonderful evening in the Landgate. Keavy and her team offer friendly, helpful and efficient service and the restaurant has a very laid back relaxed atmosphere. The food, as always, was delicious and I can highly recommend the roast chicken even though I couldn't eat it all! (My dog says thank you!), Highly recommended

    The steaks at The George were amazing. The service however was slow and we had to ask for our olives and bread. I am not sure the 12.5% was warranted.
