Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Hazel Park

If you’re in Detroit full time, or just visiting, Oak and Reel is a must have. From the service to the gentle suggestions on the house made pasta, wine , or dessert Oak and Reel will always impress. Some of us have traveled the world eating and drinking, “foodies” but there are only a handful of restaurants that can scratch the surface”from scratch “ nudge and Oak and Reel does that perfectly.

Such a splendid experience. This was a special dinner - my cousin was visiting from New York [hadn't seen her since forever. Each of the dishes were simply marvelous. All sized so that you did not end up too full for the later courses yet enough to feel like you had a satisfying meal. The drink pairing options have expanded. My husband experimented with the non-alcoholic option. My cousin and I ordered wine by the glass. It is wonderful to have options. Add to that the amazing attentive service and knowledgeable wait staff and you have all the elements for a truly wonderful dinning experience.

This place is always a great place to eat. I would have like to have seen our server a little more often, a better beer selection and the maitake mushrooms back on the menu.

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. I absolutely recommend the tasting menu. Presentation and flavors were superb and some of the best I have ever had. Flawless victory.

We had another great meal at Coeur. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. The bar service is great, too.
