It’s very small and tight, so be prepared to be cozy. The seafood is remarkably fresh and tasty. I didn’t think the shrimp was that fresh, but the Maine lobster and King Crab were delightfully natural. The Sea Bass was organically prepared with crisp vegetables and flavorful orzo. I ate the best New England clam chowder with actual clams in their shell in it—astounding. The cocktails were fresh and invigorating—I recommend the Cardi B. Service was ok. It’s a tight space. Our server had the MB snobbery going on, but the other staff were attentive and helpful. The Key Lime pie was the best I have had with an inventive presentation—toasted whip cream, and I rarely eat Key Lime pie. Overall, this is a great place to chill by the beach, impress a client, or romance your loved one. I enjoyed the meal tremendously and will be back.More infoFishing With DynamitePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Manhattan Beach•4.9
- LLarryLos Angeles •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoConsistently outstanding. We hadn’t been in several years as we’d moved out of state. So many things aren’t what they used to be. Lots of restaurants go thru changes and it shows in food and/or service. Happy to say Chef David has seen to it that the cuisine is as good and better than I remember. Five stars.More infoManhattan Beach PostPrice: Expensive• American• Manhattan Beach•4.7
- JJohnvipMiami - Dade •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFood was awesome. You can tell the chef really cares about the ingredients and the combinations of flavors. I had the New England clam chowder which was out of this world and I am from Long Island NY, so I know chowder. I had the mahi tacos which I have all the time since I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The tortilla was corn meal home made and the flavors were amazing. My wife had the tuna steak sandwich with charred Brussel sprouts which was amazing. The view is incredible. Service was great. Highly recommend.More infoThe Strand HousePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Manhattan Beach•4.6

- MMelitavipLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 16, 2024Dining at Fete Bistro by Slay is a delightful experience. The restaurant is alive with guests enjoying the ambience - delicious food and drink. Love that Mezcal Margarita! Menu choices are varied and delicious. For the health conscious, it becomes obvious that freshness is a goal of the chef. Salads are exquisite, crisp and varied with additions of fruit, olives etc. The bibb lettuce with pears is amazing, but so is the Tabouli. Dinner choices are varied, and lush. Whether fish, beef, or vegetarian, each is a perfect choice. Love the kabobs, a wonderful selection of chicken, shrimp, or beef. The fish dishes have a light texture, sauce, and spicing. To top off a grand meal, the dessert options are tempting, especially the Creme Brulee. As a frequent diner, I recommend making a reservation at Fete Bistro by Slay. Request Tess as your server. She is an absolute delight, especially helpful for guests to select their perfect menu choices!More infoFête Bistro by SlayPrice: Expensive• French• Manhattan Beach•4.5
