Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Newtown

Great drinks and meal. All the staff were accommodating and pleasant. A special “thank you” to Mary for the gift cards. Certainly not necessary but very appreciated. My daughter and I will definitely be back soon!

We’ve lived in Manhattan and Brussels, so are quite familiar with excellent food….Barley Sheaf is up there with the best! Inventive food, clearly made with love (and it’s fun to be able to see into the kitchen!). The service was great! Warm but professional and knowledgeable. Looking forward to an opportunity to eat in the garden. This is among our favorites for special occasions!

Food and beer were great. Our waitress was working her first night on the job, and she did great. We had a wonderful time.

Enjoyed our first time at Anzu Social. We came for “Lucky Hour” and had a few of the small bites and drinks. I loved the Downeast Cider included in the beer selections. We also had Nigiri which was fresh and delicious! The live piano player was a very pleasant surprise. We definitely will be back to experience the lounge and bar areas and I’m excited to try the regular dinner menu items too. So glad to see a new Asian fusion restaurant in the area especially one as special as Anzu Social!
