The name “Ichoume” comes from the address of this street. Ichoume is located on ‘1’ Harbour Street, Darling Quarter. That’s why we named the restaurant “Ichoume” (Choume is used for addresses in Japan. Frank Mac's. Gin & Cocktail Bar The original 1840s sandstone walls of the building Frank Mac’s now occupies a 120-person capacity bar which flows from outdoor seating on George Street, across two levels and into a back courtyard. Whereas the downstairs space feels cosy and intimate, dotted with vintage leather banquettes, dark jade and light orange velvet armchairs, low tables and a fireplace, the ground level you’ll walk into off George Street will reflect the energy of the bartenders working behind the almost five-metre-long oak bar. A handful of bar stools provide the perfect vantage point to take in the cocktail mixology while the dark velvet curtains, worn leather banquette seats and cosy fireplace of the ‘Snug’ provides groups of up to eight with a private space to retreat and relax.

    The food at this restaurant is so yummy, the ambience is lovely, although it is a bit cold (currently), the noise level increased as we were leaving, but just added to the atmosphere. The service was excellent, considering the waitstaff were so understaffed that evening. The service is friendly, Would recommend

    We have been to Chez Crix about 5 or 6 times over the past year. Every time it keeps getting better and better. The food is phenomenal and the laid back rustic chilled vibe of the place is so fun and real change from what yiou get at most restaurants. The wine list is exceptional and have never had a bad wine yet. Plus they know their drinks so you can ask the staff to make you pretty much anything and they will know. I highly recommend this place. Defintely one of my top 5 restaurants in sydney.
