Absolutely first class food couldn't fault it. A bit too quiet so affected ambience. Service needs a bit of improvement too quick to clear plates when very quiet, needs some refinement. Could provides with the bill. Good value for money.

Lovely lunch setting in the sunshine (under the sunshade). Fish sandwich and chicken burger were very tasty. Service was great.

We were a large table of friends - we ate very very well - great choice of food and everyone enjoyed their meals. Staff were brilliant and we stayed a little beyond closing because we had had such a great time but no one made us feel uncomfortable. They even helped find a candle and a mini tiramisu to celebrate one of our friend’s birthdays at the last minute. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

This has always been our favourite pub - you will see from many previous reviews and we have spent birthdays, Christmas and other special occasions here. We booked for Father’s Day and I have to say I was really disappointed with the food. My first concern was the smell of frying as we entered through the door - and unfortunately this was then realised when the food was served. The frickles which are a family fave were joined with the chicken and they were so hot from the deep fat fryer that we couldn’t eat them for 10 minutes I also ordered the chicken Milanese which again was so deep fried that it was atomic hot and I didn’t start eating it for 10/15 mins. This was being served with dauphinoise - well no it was served with sliced potatoes (maybe 2 new size) My husbands roast was nice but where has the extra special Yorkshire pudding gone with the extra gravy. I feel that it may have changed hands and I would love to see the old standard of food back.

Super friendly experience from whole team. Good food and great atmosphere definitely visit again
