Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. First time dining here on 6/19/2025. Really enjoyed all of the food and the service was great. I’ve eaten at other Italian restaurants in North Beach but Original Joe’s probably ranks near the top. The veal Milanese was delicious and the butter cake for dessert was rich and tasty! I’d certainly dine here again.

The restaurant's interior is beautiful. The service was excellent and so was the food. The noise level was much too high, so only four stars. Lunch is served late so next time we will reserve a table a little later to avoid the lively lunch crowd. Otherwise, this was a lovely experience.
