Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf, underneath the train tracks of the North Dock. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast (almost as good as Mum's). Bookings and Walk-Ins available.

Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The team were incredibly accommodating of my complex allergies and the food was very good when it arrived. The music volume was a little loud for my preference, but overall a very enjoyable lunch and I would recommend.
