Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    Arrival day on holiday near Cromer we booked based on previous reviews, we were not disappointed. The service from very attentive Staff was excellent, the menu was great and the food superb, I can’t recommend Gibson’s Cromer highly enough.

    Amazing food and service. Waiting time between courses was just right. All staff were courteous and helpful. Food was delicious would definitely recommend everyone to eat here

    Went to celebrate a birthday. Sat in the garden which was a lovely setting and offers tables in the shade and the sun. The food (savoury afternoon tea) was lovely. The waitress we had was excellent, cheerful, polite and helpful which added to the experience. We mentioned my birthday and we were given a foodie sweet gift which was lovely. Thanks to everyone at the Norfolk Mead - see you again soon.
