This was the third time we've eaten at the the black bull,and to be honest it wasn't the best food we've had at the pub,hopefully this was a one off ,service and staff were all great as always I think the kitchen let them down this time

Visited this saturday for lunch with friends and had a wonderful time from arrival to leaving. This is our 4th Visit to the Rum Fox and whilst its a good 80 minutes from our home in South Manchester, its well worth the drive. Warmly greeted by Bobs Mum in Law (sorry forgot name) and shown to our table set within the lovely dining area which has such a calm warm feel. All servers so pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. We had the "Set menu" which considering the quality of the food and preperation is expectional value and provides ample selection to choose from. (£30 for 2 courses /£36 for 3) Everything which should be hot arrives as it should (Hot) on beautiful array of stylish crockery. Presentation superb as is the taste. Bob always busy working in sight within the open Kitchen set in the Dining area but always has time to come over to the table for a short chat. We all left very happy and Full! The team here have certainly got it right and so pleased to have found this Gem of a Gourmet Pub.
