Our aim is to be the central hub of the community, The Axe and Compasses is a traditional British village pub dating back to 1628, serving a wide and varied selection of quality lagers, cask conditioned ales, fine wines, and premium spirits. It was such a hot day, we chose to sit outside. The area is very smart with comfortable chic dining furniture with well maintained gardens and colourful hanging baskets. The service was pleasant, professionally friendly and well timed. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. It is not the cheapest place to eat but it is certainly one of the best value overall.

The Wagyu bacon and cheese burger is superb. One of the best burgers I have had (and I’ve had a lot). Great prices too.

Great Sunday Roast, always great food, we had the Medley consisting of beef, chicken and pork belly, absolutely scrumptious!!!
