We went to The Cricketers on Father's Day, at very short notice (10 minutes!), having been let down by another local pub. On that occasion, although very busy, we were accommodated, the food was excellent and the service and friendliness were outstanding. The following weekend, I had a friend to stay and we went there for Sunday lunch (booking though Open Table, which was very easy), as I was so impressed the week before, and, again, the food, service and ambience were superb. My friend, who, by her own admission is a "foodie", really enjoyed it. I can't recommend The Cricketers and the landlord/staff highly enough.

Very delicious and surprising starters. Main courses were very tasty and beautifully set out. Puddings were fine. It’s a really lovely place to eat and hear each other talk. Jade and Josh run a great little restaurant. Not cheap but special. I recommend this place.

We made a last minute booking for Sunday lunch. Food was lovely and service was great.
