The name of the restaurant is inspired by the Legend of Janare of Benevento. Strega means ‘witch’ in Italian and Benevento is considered the “city of witches”.     Awesome from beginning to end. We had reservations and were seated promptly Our server Nino, was the best. Very helpful and attentive. The food and drinks were outstanding. NY Strip, pork chop, gnocchi and chicken parm were all done to perfection. Lamb chop appetizer was excellent. So were the Brussels sprouts and Burrata . Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

    It was my first time dining at Ritrovo and an excellent experience it was!!! Food was great! Waiter was charming and excellent! Owner came over to greet us, I love that! We were a group of 7 people and everyone agreed it was a great time with delicious food and spot on service. We will all be back for sure.

    The best meal we’ve had in our 2 years in New Haven. The flat iron steak and branzino were beautifully presented and delicious. Roseanna is a gracious and attentive host as was Brianna! What a gem.
