Best Restaurants for People Watching in Mira Mesa

The only hiccup was the hostess(es) telling my wife that we had to sit in the indoor patio, after I had called over to specifically request a table outside in the garden area earlier that day, and the gentleman on the phone had assured me that would be perfectly fine. My wife felt like they dismissed her when she first explained how we booked the reservation for a garden table (I was still out parking the car.) After I came in and explained it to them again, they were accommodating and moved us immediately. Still not sure why they didn’t get it the first time. From that point forward, everything went great. We sat outside, had a view of the estuary, track, and beach, with an occasional train rolling by, the ambience was exactly what we were looking for. The food choices were great in general. There were a couple of keto options for me that were also just nicely put together dishes, including a special with shrimp and scallops that I opted for and it was awesome. All of us (wife, teenage son, and I) found food that we loved (Macadamia Crusted Mahi, Wok Seared Ahi) and our server Jason comped my son a Mud Pie for his birthday which was also really good. Jason is a super chill and attentive server, did a really good job with timing and staying on top of everything, and has a great attitude/vibe. This dinner was a birthday celebration for my son turning 15, and it went exceptionally well. Thanks Brig peeps!

Once again, an outstanding meal with our out-of-town family member, who was tremendously impressed with the meal and the environment. This is definitely our place for visitors and celebrations on nice days at the beach/La Jolla!

DELISH drinks & food! Great service and ambience. A bit expensive for the drinks but it makes sense for the spot.
