This restaurant was named in recognition of the signing of the Magna Carta in the year 1215. The Magna Carta, which is one of the most important documents in history and indeed of medieval England was signed only a short walk from the hotel in the historic grounds of Runnymede.Children's Policy: No under 12 year olds.

Whatever the occasion, our ambition is to welcome you with our friendly staff and give you a meal that is memorable. Welcome to The Magpie. We are a dog-friendly pub as long as they are with well-behaved hoomans but do not allow dogs in our dining area if you would like to bring a four-legged friend please let us know and we can seat you in our bar area. Luckily enough, we are lucky to have a car park just across the road if you are coming from afar. We are now an Over21 pub only, please bear this in mind.
