My wife and I were warmly welcomed by Cosmina who showed us to our table by the window with a view of the river which made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We both ordered zucchini in bread crumbs and fish and chips from the Silver surfer menu. The meals were served promptly piping hot and were very enjoyable. The service given to us was very polite and professional. the price was very reasonable and we will be returning there in the near future.

We just love this place. Fantastic casual dining with superb Indian food. Great staff too. Try the laal mass .

Lovely garden pub - friendly staff and delicious food - chicken Caesar salad was so good !

The sunshine helped of course, but we had a lovely lunch-time experience at the Plough at Effingham. It has been newly refurbished inside, with a smart ladies loo, including Bramley soap and hand lotion. There is new wooden furniture at the front and the back garden is calm and sunny with trees and shrubs. I understand that cushions will soon be supplied for the seats. The food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and we felt very welcome and relaxed.

We have dined at the talbot on many occasions and have always enjoyed it and this occasion was no exception. However the afternoon was marred by the fact that two of our party were told on departure that they may be subject to a fine as their stay had exceeded 3 hours. No one told them about this on arrival when they registered their number plate. Although the Talbot explained they are not responsible for the car park this could seriously deter a further visit if our friends are fined for effectively enjoying their time at the restaurant!
