Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in St. Louis

Cafe Napoli delivers a very high level of service and outstanding food. Our party all had Italian dishes and wine and every dish was excellent (appetizer, salad, entree, wine, dessert and coffee). Two members of our party of 3 requested changes to their entree to leave out one ingredient they did not want (smoked salmon, for example, on the penne with vodka sauce). Not only did the restaurant graciously do this, the waiter made suggestions for suitable substitutions, and the resulting dishes tasted delicious. Cafe Napoli is highly recommended for any special occasion or to just eat some fine steak, seafood, or Italian food.

Really excellent restaurant - the food, the service - everything!

The atmosphere was great. Outdoor table in full shade, setting sun, mild temperature and comfortable noise level. A perfect Spring evening dinner in St. Louis. I had cioppino which was “ pale”. There were lots of shrimp and some pieces of fish. There were no clams, mussels or crab meat. There was no significant spice flavor. I could see no specks of green indicating basil, thyme or oregano. I did not sense even a hint of garlic. The chef at the table first sniffed then tasted. Her word was “pale”. Everyone else loved their selection of salmon and others had crab cakes. It seemed especially busy in the bar and the kitchen with long wait times for drinks and our meals. Our server got one of three checks correct on the first pass. We have had good food and service in prior visits and will return.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Seven during Clayton Restaurant Week. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious and the Steak Frites were tender and tasty. Sara took great care of us.
