Best Lunch Restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area

I have gone to Le Central for over 40 years. I'm glad the restaurant is still here. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. However, our seatd in the window by the 'Caen/Bashford/Brown' panels made it hard to hear; had I arrived sooner I would have asked to be re-seated in the larger room where the ambiance is better. The food was consistently good; it was good to be back in that old, familiar place.

Food was excellent. Crab and shrimp Louie salad and lobster sandwich were quite tasty as worthy complementary pop over with strawberry butter in chicken consume. No need to order appetizers. Service was attentive, especially with the bus staff. One slight negative was that I asked for a table adjacent to the window facing Union Square when I saw several available but was told by my server they were not and that the booth I was given was the closest available at the time. Throughout my entire lunch, no one occupied the empty tables by the window. Not sure what their seating policy -maybe they save it for VIP clients?

The new location for Wayfare Tavern is great. They always go above & beyond, highly recommend!

Great food. Enjoyed a fabulous latte and burger that was cooked to perfection. Kind and efficient waitstaff too!

Everyone should see the Garden Court in San Francisco! Amazing history and beauty. And delicious food!
