Best Lunch Restaurants in Hartford

We went to Trumbull Kitchen for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in the hostess was very warm and friendly and greeted us with a birthday card. Service was excellent--attentive, and knowledgable about the menu. Our server took time to talk interact with us and other tables, which continued the welcoming experience. The decor payed homage to local culture, including posters from the Hartford stage, which gave the place a classy feel. Food itself was amazing. We ordered the tuna tataki special small plate and the rock shrimp fritters, which are on the regular menu. Fritters were honestly one of my favorite things I've eaten at a restaurant this year--truly delicious. For dinner we had the Hanger Steak and Skirt Steak--both steak dishes were distinct, cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. Delicious! We did not have dessert, but were presented with a birthday ice cream courtesy of the kitchen. This place did everything to earn a recommendation and a future visit! Thank you!

Feng Chop house offers excellent food and great service. They can offer gluten free options for steak, sushi and offer gluten free soy sauce.

Excellent service, creative cocktails, pork chop was so good and you have to get the baked Alaska!

The food is excellent and The outdoor garden on a nice day is heavenly! Indoors can be a bit noisy.

The Wesley Lewis Quartet was fabulous and an extremely top notch jazz group. Hard to believe we hadn't heard of them. The jam session was fun to behold. Catfish and cheesy grits were generous and tasty. Alysia was an excellent server. Overall, highly recommended.
