When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.

A lot has changed in both our town and the craft beer industry since we opened our doors as the culmination of a business school plan I wrote my senior year at UNC. Today, we celebrate our North Carolina roots with a made-from-scratch menu focused on Carolina foods in a newly renovated building.     Talulla’s is always delicious and the service is always gracious but they have too many tables in the space and expect you to sit incredibly close to other people. Two times that we have been seated at the high tops, the table next to us had two people sitting on the banquet where only one person is supposed to sit. It makes for a crowded and uncomfortable dining experience and makes me pause when I think of coming here.

    Italian food is not typically my favorite, however my husband and I agree that this is one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was very fresh and flavorful from start to finish and it literally melted in our mouths. The inside of the restaurant is super cute. The staff were all very nice and attentive. Good parking. Highly recommend. Perfect for a special occasion. Can’t wait to go back.
