Best Lunch Restaurants in Lago Vista / Jonestown / Cedar Park

Wonder experience from the host, server and food. So delicious! We loved everything we tried!

First time at Tuscano. The restaurant has two sides: a large dining room and a smaller area by the bar with booths. We got booth. The noise level in our area was fine, not obtrusive. The noise level in the dining room was much louder. They could use curtains or other wall hangings to dampen the noise. There were fewer people in the bar area, contributing to the quieter atmosphere. The music was rock-n-roll which didn't quite fit the Northern Italian theme. Our service was good throughout. (The waiter got a 25% tip.) We had a 7:30 reservation and the Saturday crowd was a little light for the time. The food came out a little too promptly. The wine list was adequate. They have the standard array of Italian wines with additions from Australia and California. I ordered a negroni cocktail and while the waiter has never heard of it, the bartender produced one that tasted fine. The food was good except the entrees were goofed: in the mixed seafood offering there was 1 scallop and 3 shrimp period. I expect more protein in an appetizer. In the veal portofino the veal was seriously overcooked and no artichoke hearts tho they appeared in the menu description. Normally the portofino has crab meat (not here either) so I wanted to see the difference. The house salad and the caesar salads were good but produced on too small a plate, Consequently things tended to fall off. We're looking for a decent Northern Italian restaurant in our area. We're give Tuscano another try. Maybe the chef had an off night.

Such a pleasant surprise to find a nice oyster restaurant in Cedar Park! Usually have to drive into Austin for a restaurant like this! Great food, fresh oysters, awesome happy hour and attentive service. Will be back!
