Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Gulf Gate Estates

Outstanding food. Well prepared and great portions. The place was very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation or communicate with staff. It was also very, very warm inside -- I do not think they had a/c. But, dang the food was good. Really good.

We had a Saturday reservation later in the evening- after 8:30. The restaurant was pretty uncrowded although some diners did arrive after us. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our cocktails were perfect- as usual- they have really excellent bartenders here! Enjoyed the beef carpaccio as a starter-we’ve had it here before and it is consistently good. One pasta entree (all pastas are made in-house) and one fish entree special (unique with turbot, shrimp, crabmeat wrapped in prosciutto) thoroughly enjoyed. Ended the meal with shared chocolate cake- yummy! The menu seems to have paired down a lot since we first began dining here but still lots of great choices in all categories. Our server Marco was terrific and we loved the playlist cranking in the background. We have been to Flavios many times in the last 5 years and always make a reservation. We find it most chill in seasonal “down” months. Will definitely be back!

This was our first time dining here and we had a great experience. Our waiter (I'm sorry I can't remember his name at this moment) tall young man with beautiful blond hair was great! He helped us understand the menu items and recommended some great entrees and we were not disappointed! Our entrees was delicious and definitely the reason we will be back! The dessert (chocolate mousse) was just ok, but not bad, just not what we thought it would be, but the overall experience was wonderful, the live music and ambiance was beautiful. We will be back!

We ordered oysters which were good tasting but had to navigate around the pieces of shell and rock salt in them. The clam chowder was excellent. We had 4 in our party and 2 ordered the grouper, 1 ordered the hogfish and the other ordered the mahi mahi. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency develop and were only 1/2 way through our meal. What we had tasted was good. I cannot say enough about the staff and patrons who rushed to our aid and called 911 for us. They are surely to be commended and we thank them for their assistance. We would love to come back and give this restaurant another try someday when we return to Siesta Key.
