- RRichardVIPNew York City •29 reviews5.0Dined on Mar 9, 2025We had a gift card to use and in the past, we used to visit the Seymour Connecticut location, but that has since closed so we decided to go to downtown New Haven. We had a reservation for 7 o’clock, and when we arrived, we were nicely greeted and seated immediately. It was a chilly night so we both started with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon that was very good. We started with the fried calamari which was cooked perfectly and the calamari was very tender. I chose the meatball and ricotta pizza and my other half chose the sausage risotto. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the crust had a good char that was absolutely perfect. The meatballs were very tasty on the pizza. My other half enjoyed the sausage risotto, I also tried it and it was very good. For dessert we decided to go with the special which was a raspberry mousse cake with a chocolate cookie crumb crust. We shared 1 piece, but actually I could have eaten the whole thing on my own! It was very good. The place was crowded and a bit lively and we both laughed because we were probably the oldest people in there! Another nice choice for pizza and then New Haven dining scene.More infoOlives and OilPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Italian• New Haven•4.5
