The Hemingway is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub.You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

Our dough is made fresh daily and proved slowly, meaning we're able to use minimal quantities of yeast and our pizzas are light. Our commitment is to quality, and we use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas.Beers on tap include our own Fatto Bionda Helles Lager and Joosy Hazy Pale from Brighton’s UnBarred, and The Kernel’s Table Beer. We work with small producers as long term partners, including Fior Di Latte Mozzarella sourced from Caserta, Campania and wines imported directly from private Italian growers. Inspired by yakitori izakayas, Big Night is going to be putting seasonal British-ish produce on sticks and cooking it on our charcoal grill. The food will be simple, loud and fun, perfect to be eaten with a beer in hand and friends at your side.The menu will draw on a variety of influences rather than pretending to adhere to the concept of an authentic cuisine (this is not a Japanese restaurant).
