Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Wilmington

We had the greatest experience at Columbus Inn last night. It is our go to whenever we are in Wilmington, Delaware. We had the pork chop and the trout and it was absolutely delicious. We sat outside and it was a beautiful night our server Joe is outstanding! When we walk through the bar area, it is always a little bit too loud but other than that, it’s our favorite place in town.

Staff is always attentive. Prompt and easy to work with; even with groups.

This was my 3rd visit within the last 3 months. I came with friends who had not been before so it was extra fun to see them experience how great it is. The Little Gem Salad, Burrata Pop Tart (actually puff pastry), Diver Scallops, Avocado app and the Spicy Honey pizza. Everything was loved by all. Excellent from presentation to the variety of delicious and unexpected flavors and combinations. And the Sicilian Rose 🌹

La Fia is our favorite place to dine in Wilmington. The limited number of tables along with the excellent service and menu are superb. The server suggested a greek wine that we were unfamilar with that was absolutely awesome. It paired wonderfully with the Crystal Valley Chicken. We will frequently dine here and recommend others do as well.

We had a very nice meal before the show. Our server was attentive. The food was really really exceptional. One small question however. Isn't lingini thin strips of pasta? My linguini with clams was really tasty. But the pasta was more fettuccini size. Not the end of the world, but still not what was expected. But the piece that really kept them from getting five stars across the board was the invoice. I asked for some cheese for my "linguini" and clams. Our server brought a small soufle size cup with grated parmesan. I was expecting to get cheese grated over my meal. But that was not the kicker. When we got the bill, there was a $4 charge for the soufle cup of grated cheese! We were taken aback. We didn't say anything as we did not want to make a scene. But I am taking this opportunity to register my disappointment. As I stated from the start. It was a great meal. That cheese charge though......
