Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Downtown Des Moines

Good service, nice atmosphere, but their website and menu were outdated so we weren’t able to get some of the drinks we wanted to try.

Jose was absolutely fantastic as our server/bartender...deserves a raise. Food was incredible, and met the level of the Omaha Old Market location I've frequented on my work trips. Didn't get my Miso Soup I ordered, but it didn't hit the bill and I didn't need it by then. Only issue was I made my OpenTable reservation for the Main Dining room, and upon being asked booth or table (we said booth), we were put into a half booth in the bar area. This needs improvement & thankfully Jose rescued us.

We have always enjoyed Tupelo Honey on our visits to Asheville NC and it is no different at the Des Moines location. We were there early on a Tuesday, so it was almost empty - thus very quiet. We have been at this location before when it was busy and while loud, you could still hold a conversation. The food was superb. The wait staff was attentive and we will go back again .

We had a great server, fabulous pizza, and all-around wonderful dinner!

Martinis are wonderful and the vibes are immaculate.
