With its inventive American cuisine, vibrant rooftop ambiance, and exceptional service, it’s no wonder this local favorite has earned recognition in the Michelin Guide. The ambiance is an experience in itself. Kettner Exchange masterfully blends modern sophistication with coastal California charm. The open-air rooftop, lush greenery, and nautical-inspired design create a buzzing yet laid-back atmosphere, perfect for both intimate dinners and spirited nights out with friends. The rooftop cabanas offer a touch of exclusivity and make for a stunning setting under the San Diego skyline. The food is a bold and exciting take on contemporary American cuisine, with global influences woven throughout. Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski delivers a menu that’s as playful as it is precise. The menu is constantly evolving, showcasing seasonal ingredients and creative flair, making each visit feel fresh and unique. Equally impressive is the service. The staff is polished, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and experience. From the moment you’re greeted to the last sip of a handcrafted cocktail, every detail is handled with care. The team is knowledgeable about both the menu and the extensive drink list, always ready with a recommendation that hits the mark. Kettner Exchange’s inclusion in the Michelin Guide is well-deserved. It exemplifies what the Guide looks for: quality ingredients, distinct personality, and consistently high-level execution. Whether you’re a local or visiting San Diego, Kettner Exchange is a must-visit for those who appreciate modern American cuisine in a setting that feels effortlessly upscale. In short, Kettner Exchange doesn’t just serve food—it serves an experience. One that satisfies the palate, delights the senses, and keeps you coming back for more.More infoKettner ExchangePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Little Italy•4.7

- KKathySan Diego •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWent in for their new “happy meal” $20 deal and it did not disappoint! They have this available M-F from 5pm-6pm. A burger, fries, 3 fried oysters, & a glass of champagne - what a fun idea! Everything tasted good. The restaurant was also completely empty at this time since it had just opened up, so the noise level was very low. I made a reservation on OpenTable but honestly you can probably just do a walk in any day between 5-6pm and still get seated.More infoHerb & WoodPrice: Expensive• Californian• Little Italy•4.7
