Best Fine Dining Restaurants in The Loop

Mike was our server and he did a great job helping us celebrate my wife's birthday.

This was the first time I ordered pasta at Oceano. I got the lobster penne with a light sauce. The sauce was great; I was worried it would be a heavy cream sauce but it turned out to be perfect. There were large chunks of lobster, not little shreds. I felt like I ordered a whole lobster and the kitchen did all the work removing it from the shell. I saved room for dessert since Oceano has the best bread pudding and fresh baked cookies.

Our cocktails, wine, apps, entrees, and desserts were all wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Always a great experience! Happy hour is a great way to have an early dinner with friends and good wine.

Teddy Bear Tea We have enjoyed this event annually for many years. The savory portion and the tea options were average at best. The dessert portion was excellent. It is way overpriced but still a neat event. Honestly though we will likely skip the tea in future years and just do happy hour at the sushi bar instead. The Tea price is close to the price of afternoon tea at the Plaza in NYC but does not hold a candle to the Plaza’s tea.
