- RRhiannonLondon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoThe food at Namak was amazing - Indian food done right. The perfect level of spice in all the dishes and a real death of flavour. To start we had the chilli paneer and the samosa chat. The chilli paneer was one of the best I’ve ever had, a nice kick and crispy paneer in a thick sauce. The samosa chat had so many different ingredients in it including pomegranate, blueberries and chickpeas, different sauces but everything complemented eachother so well. The mains I had the paneer tikka and the dahl as I’m veggie - the dahl had a lovely death of spice and you could tell it had been cooked for a long time. My partner had the lamb shank curry - the meal fell of the bone and had been cooked to perfection. Barely any fat on it. The rice and roti complemented the dishes perfectly. The service was brilliant, the waiters were so attentive but not overbearing. The Atmosphere was buzzing and had a range of different ages and backgrounds which shows it’s a very popular restaurant. We will definitely be going back to Namak many times in the future, can’t recommend enough if you want an authentic, modern Indian restaurant and want to excite your tastebuds!More infoNamak RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Indian• South Woodford•4.7
- LLizLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoHaving visited the Nomad restaurant previously I was keen to see the new improvements and rebranded Twenty8 restaurant. It’s such a good location in the heart of Covent Garden. The room now has a lovely light and airy feel in the daylight and turns ambient and romantic later in the evening. There is a DJ on a Friday/Saturday, it added a fun vibe not hardcore pulsing music just nice background tunes. The food was really good, reluctant to say improved as enjoyed it before but had stepped up a notch. The staff and service were excellent, everyone greeted us with a smile and friendly attitude. We had a very enjoyable evening. It’s now a cool, sophisticated but not too stuffy place to eat, a destination in itself as supposed to just a hotel restaurant. Great food, service and cocktails!More infoTwenty8 NoMadPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Covent Garden•4.8
