What a special experience. We came down from Boston for an art show and a special trip so we didn't want to leave without booking a memorable meal. I did considerable research beforehand since we had never been to Pittsburgh and were only in town for one evening and had driven 11 hours. I cross referenced Google reviews, Yelp, and Reddit and reached the consensus that we could not go wrong with Umi and boy were we right. It was an incredibly memorable meal with exciting, fresh flavors and gorgeously cut fish that just seemed to melt in your mouth. Each course was better than the last. Our waiter perfectly paced the evening and was incredibly knowledgeable about the food in addition to being sensitive and accommodating toward food allergies. We are so grateful we chose Umi for our special trip. With Mr. Shu and staff, you are in good hands.

I had a wonderful time with my son who is visiting from Portland, OR sampling the delicious small plates at Morcilla last night. Everything that we ordered was delicious, very creative and beautifully plated. The Fried Artichokes, Marinated mussels, Grilled Octopus and Crispy Cod Cheeks were amazing. They also have a well-curated wine list that we enjoyed as well.

We loved the ticketed experience, it truly connected us to the mission of cafe momentum and we had delicious food :)
