Best Family Style Restaurants in Dedham

Really excellent dining experience, and particularly an excellent gluten free experience.

I’d been to the Brookline location years ago and loved it, so I was very excited when the Westwood location opened (much closer to home)! It was my anniversary last night, so my husband and I finally made our way here to celebrate. Everything was excellent! We sat in a cute booth near the bar/kitchen area and were immediately given sparkling wine and wished a happy anniversary. Turns out my husband called in advance to request this (he knows I love sparkling wine), so it was very nice that they accommodated this and it truly gave the evening such a lovely start. My husband ordered the Mardi Gras bourbon cocktail, which I tried - very refreshing and not too sweet! For dinner, we split three of the sharing plates: tomato bruschetta, heirloom carrots, and bolognese arancini. All were delicious. The bruschetta was perfectly crispy with a creamy cheese spread and absolutely perfect tomatoes. The carrots were spicy and excellently cooked. The arancini was our favorite: fried to a crisp with a pillowy rice center and all well-seasoned.

Every dish was delightful, after living in Boston/Brookline for 3 years and exploring the food scene, I can confidently say this is one of the best restaurants around.

What an incredible gem of a restaurant. I worked in the restaurant business for years at some of the best places around. The food was incredible, but it was surpassed by the graciousness of the two young women who served us. The space itself is a brick and beam holdover from 50 years ago that fits perfectly into today. Each dish we had we shared, so I got to eat a pretty good spread of the menu, all of it was well thought out, and beautifully executed.
