The valet parking is on California Street. They charge $15, even though the sign says parking compliments of the restaurant. The food, in general, is very good. The so-called mixed salad consists of some kind of greens two slices of apple at a bit of blue cheese. Probably you should go for the Caesar. The prime rib is great. The smallest card is only two dollars cheaper than the regular cut. Ignore it My wife asked for an end cut. This was an error. We received an enormous slab of meat, not attractive, not particularly medium rare, not marbled, not good. I suppose it will make a decent roast beef hash tomorrow night. I had both the creamed corn and the creamed spinach as my sides and enjoyed them both especially the corn This restaurant is saving money by not serving bread and butter, but there was so much food that was probably a good thing. I really didn’t need to eat anymore. The price at first seems high, but since it includes the salad and sides, it was actually reasonable. I thought the service was excellent. The ambience of the facility is quite nice although noisier than I would care for. Overall, I like this restaurant. It would only be for special occasions, where everyone wants prime rib. There is a seafood dish at a vegetarian dish on the menu to cover your quirky cousin. And remember that it is on California Street, regardless of anything the restaurant tells youMore infoPrime Rib at the GardenPrice: Very Expensive• Prime Rib• Walnut Creek•4.1

- AAleshaSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined 6 days agoAppetizers were good but also basic (burrata, Brussel sprouts and tuna tartare) so hard to go wrong with them. Entrees were okay. Ordered sea bass, steak frites and short ribs. Only one person loved their meal (sea bass). The short ribs were terrible and very disappointing since it’s listed as a classic on the menu so you would think it’s something they specialize in. Service was good. Overall would return if I needed a restaurant with something for everyone.More infoThe Cooperage American GrillePrice: Expensive• American• Walnut Creek•4.4

The one clear winner was the short rib plate, lots of food and yummy!More infoZaya Thai PantryPrice: Moderate• Thai• Danville•4.8
