Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in Carlsbad

We went with some family members and a few young children. They placed us in the perfect spot. Next to where there were fish in a pond. We definitely would come back if we’re in this neighborhood again. Great experience 

A Birthday Celebration at The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific, 201 N. Myers St. Every year, I celebrate my birthday in beautiful Oceanside, CA and one of my must repeat visit spots is The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific. It has become a personal tradition, and this year was no exception. Craving their signature Oyster Oh Lala, I stopped by for a birthday lunch and was warmly welcomed by Liv, our amazing server. She didn’t just provide great service she treated us like family. Her attention to detail and genuinely kind nature made our experience unforgettable. We were also greeted by Lisa, the host, whose inviting energy and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming perfect for a special day like mine. Lieve recommended the Stonesteps cocktail, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced. For food, I went with her suggestions: the grilled octopus and Caledoia shrimp and wow, both dishes were absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were bold, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like a celebration. The ambiance, the ocean view, the food, and most of all, the hospitality made this lunch truly special. And the best part? My day isn’t over I’ll be returning tonight to enjoy the rooftop experience all over again. Thank you to the incredible team at The Rooftop Bar for making my birthday celebration so memorable. I can’t for my 7pm reservation tonight…

Wonderful happy hour drink choices and tacos. The shrimp tacos were grilled on corn tortillas and very tasty. I also had the lobster bisque. It had actual lobster meat and a rich, creamy bisque flavor. I could drink it, it was so good!! The chicken piccata was a breast but not pounded much, so less ‘crispy’ than some versions. It was still flavorful and cooked nicely. We had a great server. She knew the menu and we truly enjoyed chatting with her. Something for guests to know when requesting patio seating- there were multiple dogs on the patio. All were well-behaved, but for my friends that are nervous around dogs, you’ll want to request an inside table.

We sat at the fire table on the front sidewalk area - we felt very much a part of the restaurant, we could hear the music but conversation was easy to hear. Food came out on time and the service was excellent with great suggestions offered.

Understaffed. We had to huntdown waitstaff for everything after the first round of drinks.
