Ruzia’s is a cosy little wine bar in Caulfield North, built on big love and beautiful food. It’s inspired by Ruzia, a Polish-Jewish woman whose story—surviving the war, starting over in Australia, and building a home filled with warmth and generosity—has shaped everything about the place. Her grandson Ravi has brought that spirit to life in a space that’s all about sharing good wine, comforting plates, and genuine hospitality. The menu takes cues from Ruzia’s Polish heritage, but with a fresh Melbourne twist—think small and medium dishes that are refined but relaxed, and perfect for sharing. The wine list is a handpicked mix of local favourites, with a focus on producers who care about quality and craft. Whether you’re popping in for a quick glass or settling in for a long, slow night, Ruzia’s is all about connection, comfort, and the kind of food and drink that brings people together.

Enjoyed a delicious and special Winter meal today at Pipis Kiosk in their restaurant. Coq au Vin was served with a matching red wine and a complimentary salad for $35. Also enjoyed the starter of a serve of seaweed sourdough with softened brown butter ($7). Service was 5 stars - just the right amount of attentiveness that i prefer when being a solo diner. Can see this place would be a prime place to visit during summer!

If you want a great vibe from beginning to end - go to Neighbourhood Pizza. The energy is electric and the staff are young and vibrant. We had 2 pizzas and a rocket salad to share (3) and a glass of wine each - we were not disappointed. Arrived at 6.30 and knew had to leave table at 8 but was perfect for 3 work colleagues catching up. Would go again … and again.
