This venue has brought the excitement and fun of an Aussie country pub to the inner city. We celebrated a birthday here after reading all the good reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. The styling created a cozy ambience. The open fire and decor also added to the atmosphere. On the night we attended, there was a meat raffle to raise money for charity. The staff created excitement as they paraded through with the prize, ringing a small bell. All staff were enthusiastic and helpful. This venue was not just serving food; it was creating an experience which we will recommend to all. We can't wait to return on "steak night" or "schnitzel night". So, if you are looking for 'Aussie spirit', I am quite sure you will find it here!

I had my 40th birthday at The Standard Hotel in Fitzroy, and it was absolutely perfect. We were in the outdoor beer garden, which was warm and welcoming thanks to the heaters and the cosy setup. The space felt private and full of character, with fairy lights, greenery, and that effortlessly cool Fitzroy vibe. The staff were incredible—friendly, attentive, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. Food and drinks were top-notch, with generous portions and great local options. My guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommended for anyone planning an event or just after a classic pub experience done right.

Hopheads has a great range of beers both on tap and in cans / bottles. Caters for both alcoholic and non alcoholic as well as those who prefer wine or cocktails. You have a range of food options at the Point Cook one from Korean, Indian and Hotpot as well as an IGA. Hopheads themselves don’t serve food but are very happy for you to get food at one of those venues and have it there. Seating indoors or outdoors on a closed area with heaps of room for kids to run around / playground nearby. Can’t ask for much more than that and can’t recommend it highly enough!
