The Black Horse in the village of Fulmer is nestled between Gerrards Cross and Pinewood Studios. The 17th Century craftsman’s cottage has gradually been extended to form a charming country pub full of nooks and crannies. Under new ownership, The Black Horse has recently undergone extensive refurbishment both inside and out, creating one of the nicest pub environments in the area.Food is our passion and we will never compromise on quality. We are proud of our seasonally changing menus, simple, yet exciting using the finest ingredients and locally sourced produce. Certain dishes have become specialities such as our sticky ribs and homemade 8oz burgers. Our beef has been aged for a minimum of 35 days and the roast beef served on Sundays is unrivalled.     We booked for a lunch as it was local to The Royal Botanical gardens that we were visiting. The staff were warm, professional and attentive. The food was tasty. My husband enjoyed the draught beer and the elderflower/cucumber spritz was excellent. We sat in the garden area which was covered for shade. Overall a really enjoyable relaxing lunch.

    Pub was full for the England football match so there was a great atmosphere. Plenty of staff working so service was very good and we had the chicken gyros to eat which were delicious.
