Once again Chef Jun and his team have exceeded our expectations! On this visit we brought some friends who have not been here, and they echoed our sentiments! We have only sat at the sushi counter to get the full omakase experience - it is really the best seats in the house. Service and food were exceptional! We will be back!!!

Jim could not have been more gracious and helpful to my friend, Susan and me at dinner last evening! He helped us decide on the menu items that would work best for our personal preferences. The Caesar salad wias totally amazing with clouds of parmesan cheese on top. Jim perfectly grilled the large prawns and filet mignon cubes and both were delicious. He recommended that we allow their guest bartender to make up a cocktail for us and it was a black cherry Manhattan that was fantastic. Also, instead of a dessert (we were too full), for Susan's birthday he brought a small complimentary after dinner drink that was in layers of Kahlua, Bailey's Irish Cream and Japanese whiskey on the top. He set the whiskey aflame in honor and recognition of Susan's birthday which was visually stunning. We enjoyed spending time with both Jim and James, the owner, who both made our evening in their beautiful restaurant a special treat!

Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Bellevue is one of our favorite spots, and we find ourselves coming back often. The staff is always attentive and helpful, offering great menu suggestions that make the experience even better. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming, and there's always something new to try. Tonight, we decided to go for the à la carte menu and chose duck, chicken, and the prime kalbi short ribs—each one was delicious. We also ordered a variety of sides, including the spicy addictive cucumber, spicy tuna volcano, Gyu sushi (roast beef), garlic edamame, and Japanese chicken karaage. The chicken karaage here is my kids' favorite compared to other local spots. We also couldn't resist two orders of the cheese corn butter, another top pick, as well as the karage avocado salad and the beef sukiyaki bibimbap. Honestly, the food was so good that we forgot to take pictures, which rarely happens! For drinks, everyone had a Coke, but I opted for the Lychee Berry Fizz, which is my go-to favorite. I also tried the Mango Tango, but it wasn’t quite for me. For dessert, we ordered the Fish Taiyaki with green tea ice cream—an excellent, sweet way to end the meal. The ambiance is casual, with a lively atmosphere that works well for families. It’s a bit loud, which might not be ideal for those looking for a quiet dining experience, but it fits our vibe. If you're in Bellevue and craving Japanese BBQ, this spot is a must!

Your whole staff is excellent, and Rachel, our server, was exceptionally good at her job. Rachel went above and beyond to make our lunch there an enjoyable and remarkable experience. My longtime friends and myself come to Earls exclusively for our group lunches every quarter.
