The building and decor are charming and rustic, with elegant modern touches. We had lunch on 15 May. Both the service and food were excellent. I had the fish (plaice) of the day dish and my wife had the raviolli. Both were beautifully cooked and presented. Have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

First time visit and was introduced to go by family they raved about it was not disappear all really a lovely experience. Some of the starter foods was a little to spicy but overall fantastic and will definitely be going back there again. Great staff too

This was my second time eating at the George, and it did not disappoint. We attended today for a friend's birthday. Our meals were exceptional. Staff were attentive but not to the point of annoying. They made my friend's birthday special by singing to her and adding a sparkler to her dessert. I recommend the Sunday roasts :)
