Best Casual Restaurants in Plainville

We are long time patrons and were meeting friends for lunch. We had a lot to catch up on and Max was the perfect place. Low noise level on a weekday afternoon, excellent pumpkin soup and kudos to our server, Genesis.

Outstanding Experience for the Whole Family! We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Salt + Lime! It’s rare for both of my kids, ages 11 and 15, to finish their dish, but they were blown away by the food here. Every bite was outstanding! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The drinks were spot on—delicious and perfectly crafted. What really stood out was the manager stopping by to check on us. He was genuinely interested in our experience and made us feel like valued guests. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful—stylish, inviting, and warm. Salt + Lime truly knows how to create a welcoming and memorable experience. We were treated so well from start to finish. This was our first time at Ideal Tavern and we were impressed with the casual atmosphere, the intimacy of the surroundings and farmhouse/industrial decor of the dining area and bar. The service was outstanding, and the food was incredibly delicious. Dessert was remarkable! We will definitely be returning! The prices were on the higher side, but very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients and the talent of the chef.
