Excellent service. Food was delicious, served hot and was plentiful. The only downside was the women in the booth across from us were very loud laughing and and had no respect for those around them.

Our group had a wonderful late evening meal at Caffé Gelato, and it continues to impress with every visit. Parking is conveniently located right outside the door—a rare and much-appreciated feature in Newark, DE. The food is authentically Italian, beautifully prepared, and consistently delicious. What truly stands out—aside from the attentive (yet never intrusive) service—is the care that owner took into designing the dining space. Even though tables are only a few feet apart, there's an unexpected sense of intimacy and privacy that allows for meaningful conversation without concern of being overheard. It’s a perfect setting for enjoying a relaxed meal with friends or loved ones. Dining here always feels like a family meal, elevated by expert preparation—and best of all, someone else handles the cleanup! One of our traditions is taking desserts to go and enjoying them at home with a cup of coffee. Since their desserts come with gelato, the waiter thoughtfully brought the gelato to the table so we could savor it fresh, while packing the rest to enjoy later. It's this kind of personalized, considerate touch that makes Caffé Gelato a truly special place and a favorite destination we’ll continue to return to—and recommend to others.

Came on a Saturday morning at 1115 for brunch and was promptly seated with no wait. Food was absolutely amazing. Breakfast pizza was very good! Can’t go wrong with the chicken and waffles either! Definitely will be back next time I’m in Newark.

Food is always delicious, tons of selection, the grounds are beautiful, and the servers are amazing. However, it's still $80 per head for a buffet.
