- CCalvinPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIf I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. We go out to eat with another couple every 3-4 months and always try to make it a point to go to a different place in or around Lancaster. This was our first time visiting C'est La Vie and I can honestly say this was easily one of our best experiences dining out in Lancaster in the past 3-4 years. The service was excellent (shout out to Brett!) and the food was equally spectacular. We started off with the chicken lollipops for an appetizer and these were amazing. I'm not sure quite how they managed to do it, but the chicken was fall-off-the bone tender and the fried coating was light, crispy, and flakey. I was impressed with the large selection of unique and seasonal cocktails. I had the Smoky Solstice and my wife chose the C’est La Vie, both of which were very excellent. I chose to add the C'est La Vie House Salad (half size) and this was very good as well. Any salad that includes cheese and pepperoni gets an automatic pass, but all the ingredients were fresh and this was a well-executed salad. I'm a sucker for a great brick oven pizza, especially one with pepperoni and hot honey. The Soppresetta Pizza entree didn't disappoint, as it had a beautiful crust that was both crusty and chewy. The sauce and toppings were well-portioned and the pizza was cooked to absolute perfection. My wife had the Boeuf Bourguignon and was very impressed. The beef was extremely tender and flavorful and the dish was well executed. For dessert, my wife had the evening special, which was a type of light peppermint gelato-like dessert (can't remember the name). I chose the Crème Brulé, which was easily the best I've had in years. We typically don't return to places often, since there are so many great restaurants in and around Lancaster to choose from, but we're going to make an exception for this place. We're looking forward to going back. If you haven't tried C'est La Vie, definitely check it out. I highly recommend it!!!More infoC'est La ViePrice: Expensive• European• Lancaster•4.8
