- AAlanSan Francisco Bay Area •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoRestaurant Review I recently had the pleasure of dining at Caruso’s Grocery, and it was truly a memorable experience from start to finish. First and foremost, the service was impeccable. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and checking in at just the right moments. They were knowledgeable about the menu and even offered thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be perfect. The food was outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I had the chicken parm and you can tell the kitchen takes pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients. As for the drinks, they were just as impressive. The cocktail menu was creative and well-executed, with something for every palate. The pomegranate lemonade was flavorful and very well presented. Overall, Caruso’s Grocery offers a top-tier dining experience with exceptional food, drinks, and service. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great night out, I highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back!More infoCaruso's Grocery - DCPrice: Expensive• Italian• Capitol Hill•4.8
- KKaleyWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoShia was a wonderful experience. The food was incredible and the space was beautiful. I had asked for no pork on my menu but was given the pork dish. My date was very happy to have doubled up on pork as I gave mine to him. The staff was a bit suffocating. Our waters would be refilled before we even took a sip out of them and we were routinely asked the same questions and never really left alone. It felt like we had to perform rather than enjoy our meal. There was also a lot of hesitation about what exactly the timing was between the first bite in the front bar and moving to the main dining space. We weren't sure what we were supposed to do or how long we were supposed to sit or how quickly/slowly we were to enjoy the first bites. Overall, a wonderful experience that I'm sure will be refined over time as the staff settle in a bit more.More infoSHIA RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Korean• Washington•4.8
- BBillVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoNeed I say more when you mention the name "Gordon Ramsey"? But, there are a few things to consider when visiting. Yes the service is impeccable and the food outstanding but there's more to it than just those two things when visiting a restaurant and a higher scale one at that. We eat out a lot and at many levels of types of restaurants but make sure to check what you get charged for. For instance, no one wants sink water to drink and to "trick" you into getting bottled water to drink just isn't right. Charge me for a small bottle, fine but to be asked if you'd like bottled water then they come out with a giant glass bottle and charge you $9 for it is absurd and we only barely drank any (there's only 2 of us by the way). We didn't even have any alcohol either and we got socked for $11 each for a glass of lychee flavored soda on top of the $9 dollar bottle of water we didn't drink. Next none of the entrees come with barely anything else so when you ask for one from the menu, out comes a small thin-rimmed dish of potatoes that you could finish in a few bites for $15. Yes, I planned on paying a lil more of course for the name and the service and good food, but $74 for a small baseball-sized beef Wellington? Oh the dessert? $15 for a 2"x4" rectangle of cheesecake with a few blueberries. Really? What the kicker was the fact that they charged us an additional 20% service charge of the subtotal which came to $271.00. Add that service charge and your bill is now $352.30. Tax is in there as well ($27.10) but there was NO need for that service charge and you haven't even tipped yet. Are you kidding me? Total paid including tip was $432.30! Yes I can easily pay for this 30 times over and I still tipped my server $80 but that's so not the point. If you want the business especially in this day and age, DON'T take advantage like that!More infoGordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Southwest Waterfront•4.5
- TThomasWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024First one of the reasons we picked the Point is we have eaten there before and your chef/chefs make the best BRUSSEL SPROUTS in D.C. The wait person was extremely attentive and came by many times to be sure we did not need anything., Your bus people were also very attentive. The meal was very tasty and the price was reasonable........shall dine there again soon. Thanks Best Thomas WalshMore infoThe Point - DCPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Buzzard Point•4.5
