Paffuto is a BYOB Italian cafe from chefs and co-owners Daniel Griffiths, Jake Loeffler, and Sam Kalkut. Located at 1009 S. 8th Street in Philadelphia’s Bella Vista neighborhood, Paffuto serves breakfast and lunch specialties on mornings and afternoons from Wednesday through Sunday, featuring panzerotti, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, sides, and house-made pastries. Housed in a 1,400-square-foot, 23-seat restaurant, Paffuto (meaning plump in Italian) now serves dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with one seating at 7:00. Not to be missed, Pete McAndrew's Friday night one-seating dinner. Advertised as four courses doesn't do it justice because there will be four or five appetizers, two pastas, an entree, and a sampling of three desserts, followed by espresso and a shot of Limoncello or Sambuca. Do yourself a favor and just go, take friends and a big appetite, and a wine or two of your choosing -it's a BYO.
