Best Casual Restaurants in Amherst

This was an outstanding dining experience for all six of us. The service was wonderful (thanks Hannah!), the food was amazingly good. A couple of us had specialty drink requests and the staff there went overboard to satisfy us. For appetizers we had the Bruschetta - fresh, tasty and quite a lot included - and some cheesy bread (very good as well). Two of us (including myself) ordered the Grilled Chicken Almafi - we both enjoyed it tremendously, honestly, one of the best meals I've ever had out. Chicken was perfectly done, lots of good vegetables all in a tasty light sauce. Two ordered the Tuscan Seafood Pasta - the seafood was cooked correctly and both people enjoyed it a lot. The other two ordered the Chicken Parm (plentiful and very nice) and Chicken Piccata (the menu listed veal, but they were fine with substituting the chicken - that was enjoyed as well). As noted, the service was great - attentive, responsive, but not bothering us at all. Almost forgot: we got a couple of desserts to share - Cannolis (three large tasty ones) and a couple of the Limoncello cake slices (I like lemon after Italian and this was perfect - tasty, fluffy and light.) We've been dining there for years - all with the same ownership and attention to detail, we'll be back again as there are a couple of dishes we would have tried as well ;-)

Great service, great food, but it is a little on the loud side but not horrible.

Well seasoned and thoughtful menu. Starters and entrees were excellent. Do not skip dessert, Stella Blu’s take on cheesecake is outstanding

Our server Julianna was outstanding. I had a Mediterranean Pizza for the first time and it was fantastic. I will definitely order it again. My wife had her usual Mustard-Crusted Chicken BLT her favorite. We love Joe’s.

Food was great! My aunt had an issue with her steak and our waitress was great and fixed it right away!! We also tried the sangria flight and it was delicious!! Can’t wait to go back!
