Located on the beautiful waterfront of Thames Street Landing, DeWolf Tavern offers a variety of dining options. Enjoy the breeze from Mount Hope Bay with a cocktail on the patio after work. The fireplace seating and the spectacular waterfront view ensure every visit feels like a special occasion.Chef Sai draws inspiration from the fresh local seafood available in Rhode Island and has created a unique Contemporary American-Indian menu that highlights these ingredients. He has mastered various cooking techniques worldwide, resulting in incredible dishes that blend local flavors with the intense heat of the charcoal tandoor. Le Central is a French bistro, focusing on modern interpretations of classic dishes featuring local products from Sakonnet Lobsters, Four Town Farm (Seekonk, MA), Walker's Farm (Barrington, RI), Scott the Bassman, and Little Rhody Eggs (Foster, RI). Low lighting, checkerboard floor tiling, glass tabletops, and French nu-Jazz provide an intimate yet warm and familiar atmosphere. Chef-owner Jesse James spent his early career in Boston, working with chefs Moncef Meddeb at L'Espalier and Jasper White at Jasper's, with further experience at other landmark restaurants in New York, France, and Italy. Le Central is the third restaurant he has designed, built, and operated, after Aperto (Est 1992) and Boca Rotis (Est 1997), both in San Francisco. The large painting by Inez Storer on the south wall of the restaurant (which also serves as our logo) is of Jesse's son, Sam (the current General Manager & Beverage Director), and his childhood dog, Skye. Inez wouldn't say who the guy in the chair is.

We are Backyard, and we can't wait to welcome you. We started as a weekend-only outdoor bar and restaurant in the summer of ’24.Now we’re open Wednesday through Sunday, still outside (and inside too), still doing food the way we like to eat it: hand-cut fries, scratch-made sauces, burgers, pickles, and fried chicken sandwiches that go entirely too hard.We don’t own a microwave. We don’t do heat lamps. We do make everything to order, and we go on little culinary side quests each week to bring you food specials that are here for a good time, not a long time. Blink and they’re gone. Poof.Beer and wine? All craft. All local. Music? Yes. Approved by most. Backyard? Cozy, dog-friendly, possibly dancey, and always open to whoever wants to hang. There's always something happening, pop-ups, playlists, and plenty of excuses to stay way longer than you meant to.Just up the road from Horseneck Beach, we’re out here trying to make Westport a little weirder and a lot tastier.

The main dining room, indoor bar and dog-friendly outdoor deck and bar provide stunning sunset and water views. The Gulf Stream Bar and Grille’s creative menu offers coastal cooking with a New England Twist - taking delicious recipes from regions along the Gulf Stream, adding our own New England style and offering them to you. We use only the highest quality products, locally sourced and organic when possible. All of our dishes are house-made with the freshest ingredients and we proudly support our local farmers and fishermen. We are housed in an original Quonset Hut, built in 1942 as part of the US Navy’s PT-Boat Training Center at Melville. The space was converted into a restaurant over 30 years ago and began operation as The Gulf Stream Bar and Grille in May 2016.
