Atmosphere was nice, very clean, food was fantastic, wait service was friendly and attentive. Only blip of a problem was we were initially taken to be seated in an enclosed glass room in the back of the restaurant that had a fairly high concentration of customers. I let the greeter know that I was uncomfortable being seated in the high concentration of guests, so we were given the choice of seating in the open area of the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant!
It was fantastic!!! Food was amazing, service was spectacular (especially for a mom & FIVE chatty college girls). I will definitely come back. Would love to have the daughter’s grad party there if they do that.......
Great food great staff! I felt safe among cOVID precautions and felt comfortable.
I always love coming to Farm I just felt the food was a bit adequate this time my salmon was not hot nor were the fries the appetizer hummus was delicious and the steaks were good
Came to visit our son and take him and friends out to a nice dinner - loved it !
Dinner for 8 celebrating a birthday and most ordered pizza. Pizza was fine but very inconsistent in size, not to mention shapes. I get they are hand made but one of the pizzas was half the size of the others. The vanilla gelato served to the Birthday person was FROZEN and covered in freezer burn. It was awful and grainy and possibly the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. Gelato is supposed to be a soft and creamy consistency. Good thing it was free because I would never have paid for that. Overall the food was fine, and I would likely go back but would try other items and stay clear of the gelato!
We stop in for dinner on a Sunday night. Three of us ordered the special based on our servers suggestion. It was a Ribeye. To say the meat was marbled would be a compliment. Possibly the most fat and gristle I have ever seen on a piece of meat. I ordered mine medium and it came out cold. We each took one bite and just sat our silverware down and waited for the check. I didn’t want to make a scene so I just paid the bill and left. Not sure how any restaurant however could even put that in front of a customer. Our server seemed embarrassed as she understood what was happening as well. We will not be back for dinner there anytime soon. Maybe just stick to brunch at the Farm or avoid Sunday nights. Yikes!
We enjoyed our dinner at Farm. Bar menu is amazing. Food was delicious although it is quite a pricy evening. Service was outstanding.
Great menu, good food. Watch add on costs though.
Good food and atmosphere. Service was slow on Valentines day but still attentive and a great experience.
Thank you for your feedback. We are working to improve our pace of meal. Please ask to speak to Chantel the next time you are in. I would love to introduce myself and make sure you have an over the top experience.
My food was so undercooked it was inedible. The service was incredibly slow. I do not recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you had a poor experience. Please come in and give us another shot. Ask to speak to Chantel. I would love to introduce myself and make sure you have an exceptional experience.
We got a pork shoulder dish and a salmon dish - both were very good. Had the pimento cheese starter, which was excellent. Cocktails were tasty and potent. Wine selection is pretty good - from all of the great wine regions around the world.
Our server, Olivia, was exceptional.
The service was outstanding, the food was delicious. They had the restaurant decorated for Valentine's Day which was a nice touch. They only con was a very limited menu. They had a Valentine's Day menu with 4/5 entrees. You were not able to order from the regular menu.
Our Valentine’s Day dinner was amazing! Loved the ambience and the risotto was amazing. Our server Owen was wonderful. Will be back!
5 of us went to Farm to celebrate our daughters' birthday on Valentines weekend. We lucked out as there was a special menu to try. The food was deliciously prepared with different herbs/spices. My husband and one daughter had prime rib, I had slow roasted pork shoulder, my other daughter and her fiancee both had squash risotto and said that it was really good. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers prior to our meal and fruit cobbler with bourbon caramel for desert. Food and service was excellent and everyone enjoyed the evening.
We've been to Farm on several visits to Bloomington and it never disappoints.
Food, wait staff, and ambiance were the best! Vegetable curry soup, avocado toast( I ordered a side of gauc and gluten free toast) was delicious! My son and husband ordered chicken and BLT were awesome! Fries were great! Our waitress and waitor( we went 2 times) were very friendly.
Room for improvement would be speed in the kitchen. Chefs need to be a little faster. We waited 30 minutes to get our breakfast.
They just reopened so I’m sure they are getting the kinks out.
We definitely will be back! My favorite place!
They are closed for COVID. Please remove from Open Table or clients drive to find a dark restaurant.
Usually this is GREAT, but we got there to find a note on the door that they were closed for deep cleaning. We were very disappointed and not just a little unhappy that I received a confirmation email for a restaurant reservation to closed establishment.
Hands down the best brunch experience ever. Venue is eye appealing from the moment you walk in. Service staff is impeccably well groomed. Food and beverage options top notch. Can’t soon forget the 4th generation biscuits!! Please treat yourself to FARMbloomington’s goodness.
We've been to FARM several times and it's always great. The food was fantastic as well as our cocktails. Highly recommend.
Only 3 other tables in entire restaurant and they sat us two feet right behind another table which seemed odd considering the pandemic environment. My family tries to support local but want to see places doing their part as well. Hard biscuit basket :(
Their food is always fresh and wonderful! Service is great!!
Cute place, very friendly server. Food was very good diner type food. Not the greatest, not bad, but pretty good. I would come back in the future.
Bloomington is blessed with many great restaurants and this is one. The atmosphere is boho chic and the food is down home done upscale. The menu has something for everyone; vegetarians to carnivores, spice junkies to those who prefer the milder side of life.
A delicious place to have a great value lunch. Wonderfully creative food and great at accommodating GF necessarily.
Farm promotes its vegan options, but in reality those are quite limited, unimaginative and no better than you’d find at any other restaurant. It is quite disappointing given all the hype. On the night I went, there was a vegan salad, which is hardly a stretch, and something you can find anywhere and spaghetti with vegan meatballs. I would not recommend Farm’s paltry, uninspired and overpriced options to other vegans.
Food was sub-par since they were on a weekend limited menu for speed sake. Had a reservation and put back in the cold, loud, white room in the back. Won’t be back.
I love Farm and have eaten there on several occasions. Typically food and service is excellent. However, this visit was the exception as our service was horrible. Our waiter asked about drinks once and never asked again. Our food took over 70 minutes to get to the table after ordering. When we asked why the delay, we were awkwardly told it was because someone in our party ordered a bison burger and those take longer. I was like “are you kidding me?” It’s a hamburger! The waiter must have know we were upset because he sent the manager over with an apology. My guess is that they lost our order. The manager did offer the table desserts which we accepted (those too took way too long to get to the table as well and most were just slices of cake!). All in all, won’t keep me from going back there but the fact the server never even came back to the table to apologize for any delays until we pressed him on it is inexcusable.
We brought our daughter who is a student at IU, in to celebrate her birthday. It was a charming atmosphere and we had top notch service from Jonathan. He was engaging and very personable. The beverages, charcuterie, baguette and strawberry gelato were all fabulous, as was my husband's burger. The pizza and chicken entrees were just average but still a great evening and we'd come again!
Excellent, friendly service. Our waitress was very good at discussing food and drink options. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy.
The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was awesome! Great food, fun ambiance and phenomenal service. Never have I been asked after a meal if we would like our check or if we just wanted to hang out and enjoy some more coffee in the company of our family. We will come back again next time we are in the area!
Excellent breakfast (Indiana Benedict and egg dish with roast tomato, etc., and prompt, attentive service. Will definitely return.
Food very good - and very manageable menu size. Brown liquor selection excellent (pricey, but competitive). Took a while for service to begin after getting seated, but once it started it was great. Definitely recommend.
FARMbloomington was the perfect place for a dinner date. It is on the more expensive side ($16 to $30 a plate), but I never felt like the price was too much for the quality of the food, drink, and service, which meant that I could feel good about having a fun experience for a special occasion or just a treat. My partner and I shared a baguette starter, which came with both an herb olive oil and herb butter. Both were very good. Then, we each ordered entrees, getting the bison burger with potatoes and beet risotto with chicken breast. My partner was surprised and a little disappointed that his potatoes were a cold dish (more like a potato salad with a lemony vinaigrette), but everything was delicious. I might suggest that this be advertised more clearly on the menu, but have no actual complaints here. Both my partner and I have multiple food allergies and there was no issue.
There is an extensive drink menu, with specialty cocktails that seem to change, which would be great for repeat customers. They also have a selection of virgin cocktails that could be fun options for anyone who wishes to have the experience of a fancy drink without the alcohol. I ordered a sazerac and was extremely satisfied with the quality.
I look forward to the next time I have the cash to spend here. It elevated a night out and was an overall great experience.
Simply wonderful! The bean soup was fabulous. We are looking to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here!
Our server was amazing (forgot her name!). She didn’t rush us at all, kept checking on us and went above and beyond. Food was great as usual!
