FARMbloomington
Wonderful food—excellent service.
The food was great and our server, Mark, did a fabulous job waiting on us.
We were very disappointed that the menu was celebrating Chinese New Year and had very little options for breakfast that did not include unusual ingredients. I had researched the menu online and it was not at all indicative of what they highlighted.
Biscuits that were highly talked about seemed like they were a old and stale
Server seemed to make us feel like we were bothering her when we were slow to get water and beverages and each entree came out separately and more than a few minutes apart.
Sadly would not go back and disappointed that I had heard good things.
It was the best chicken I have ever had! Terrific wine list (Quilt!) and they could not have been more accommodating. I love this restaurant.
Friendly and professional staff. Good food with appealing presentation, but very limited on gluten-free options.
Absolutely would recommend! Phenomenal food, great service, even received complimentary crabcakes.
We will definitely be back! ♥
Biscuits and breakfast are perfect as always!
always love it. Went early for an IU game (Should have just stayed at Farm ):- bad loss) but only comment is if the full lunch or dinner menu is not available which is the case at 4:00 would have liked to know when I booked. BUT the limited menu was outstanding - we had the pizza and chicken tortilla soup! Bourbon list is impressive - I think over 100!
Had a great brunch at Farm ! Fries were good, mimosa on point and great bloody Mary’s . Service was great!
Great drinks and great tasting menu! The chicken skewers and pate were amazing! I always enjoy a visit to this place as it is one of my favorite restaurants in town and they are always mixing things up with the specials and holidays.
A great New Year Eve small plate menu. Lots of very interesting plates. Salads we absolutely delicious. The kielbasa pie with kraut, chef's own mustard, etc. Was absolutely delicious. Chef Daniel Orr is always going to please.
My Birthday and we have been dining there since it opened. Love the quality of the food, and how they vary the menu from season to season and always having daily specials. Great place to dine, will continue to support them
This restaurant was fun! Food was delicious and the waiter was attentive. The manager stopped by our table and was also friendly. Try the sticky bun! It's delicious!!
Place was recommended by a friend. We were placed at a pretty cramp spot right next to a service station despite me letting them know in advance that this was a special occasion. Wine we wanted was out and an alternative was offered with little regard. Food was average at best, dry and heated over a broiler. Seemed more interested moving bodies in and out versus wanting their patrons to enjoy their venue. Wishing it was better, really do. Unfortunately just really, “average” at best.
Our waiter was terrible! It took 45 minutes to get our drinks and then he only brought my husband's beer, forgot all about my glass of wine. We waited a long time for our food and then the appetizer and dinner salads were brought at the same time. Then our main dish was brought before we had finished our salads. We had to ask multiple times to get a second drink, finally another waiter helped out. Then our waiter brought us someone else's drinks. Finally our waiter gave us someone else's bill and credit card to sign. I think this guy was seriously out to lunch, pardon the pun.
The fish taco was excellent. Fresh, cooked just right, not overdone as is usually the case. Enjoyed meal very much.
We have heard good things about Farm and wanted to try it out. Maybe we just hit an off day, but our food wasn't great. My broccoli cheddar soup had a grainy texture, and the biscuits in my husband's meal were very hard and dry. On a good note, our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and the ambiance was neat.
Loved everything about Farm. Service perfect. Brunch unusual and extraordinary. So friendly and perfect for a return to my alma mater. And we had a perfect view of the World Cup!
We went for brunch and it was FANTASTIC as always. The food is consistently delicious and fresh farm to table fair.
Wonderful restaurant. Definitely one our favorite family stops when we visit our daughter at IU.
Let me start by saying, we like FARM. Our son is an incoming Freshman at Kelley so we try to visit FARM every time we come to Bloomington to visit campus and every time, it's been great. We live outside of NYC and are frankly accustomed to great food. We're spoiled when it comes to restaurants. That said, we've been pleased with restaurants like FARM during our Bloomington visits.
This last visit however was bad. I ordered the Bison Burger (cooked medium) and it arrived raw. The waiter (obviously not his fault) was gracious and took my plate back to the kitchen. Rather than giving a new plate, they simply microwaved by burger and returned with an overcooked hockey puck.
My wife order a pizza which arrived tasteless and mushy in the center... but burnt along the edges of the crust.
This was not a great dinning experience... but we'll give it another try on a future visit. Hopefully this visit can be chalked up to a bad day in the kitchen.
I dined here with a large group of 18-20 relatives for a farewell brunch after family reunion. We had a back room area to ourselves and we had great service from our main waiter as well as all the others that helped to deliver our food on a timely basis. This restaurant has a delightful menu of interesting options made with fresh, local ingredients. Their homemade biscuits are awesome! You can also just ask for the basics, if you don’t see what you want on the menus.
This is a delightful restaurant, light and bright, with lots of tasty menu options and pleasant staff. I was here for brunch. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next day!
We will return!! The fools was delicious!! However - if you are thinking that farm-to-table translates into allergy/paleo/Whole30 friendly - this is not really your place. They will do their best to accommodate - very friendly and gracefully - but there is no allergy friendly menu or selections. Every once in awhile we will “take the hit” with our food sensitivities and splurge a little. The menu was so enticing that we will definitely return when we can experience it more fully!
Farm to table delicious. Very flavorful mix of spices snd ingredients. A nice dinner out with the family. We loved the fresh seasonal options and interesting , fun drinks, too.
We always enjoy our meal at Farm Bloomington....we love to introduce our friends to Farm to Table dining!
Food was good. Fresh and tasty. Prawn appetizer a bit overpriced but overall, nice place to get fresh farm to table food in Bloomington. Also had quite a few gluten free options, including a great flourless chocolate cake.
Great Service and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing! Get the Parmesan garlic fries!
When we visit Bloomington each summer, we make this a dinner stop for sure. Never disappointed. See you again in a couple of weeks.
Drinks, food, and service were great. We've had dinner here before, but our service kept us from coming back. We thought we would try dinner again, and we were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely come back.
This was our choice for meeting two old friends to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We'd eaten here before, but either for breakfast or lunch, and not in a few years. What a disappointment. Believe our server was named Madison and she was terrific. Patient and capable. Had an overall feeling that the price/value relationship was way out of line in this restaurant.....and not in the customer's favor. My first martini had no gin, really. The trainee made it, explained Madison. Second...and last....one world class. Huh? Fish and chips day. Chips outstanding. Tartar sauce outstanding. Rest of meal, unremarkable, trending toward unappealing. Overall this strikes me as a restaurant that takes itself too seriously to the exclusion of the patrons. Can see dozens of pairs of tweezers strewn about the kitchen waiting to put an edible flower on top of your entree. I would have settled for food that tasted good. The chef may be legendary, but I found neither the food nor the experience very worthwhile.
Nice ambience, not as many vegetarian options as I had thought, salad was wilted, but mushroom pizza was great, friendly waiter
We arrived at 7:15 and ordered drinks and the fried chicken special. After serving our drinks, the waiter informed us that the restaurant had "run out of" the the special. We told him we'd have dinner elsewhere, which we did. The menu price of the bourbon we ordered was $11. The check charged us each $13. I asked the waiter about the discrepancy, and he "explained" that the prices were higher because I had ordered my bourbon neat and my wife had ordered hers on the rocks. (I am not making this up.) I will not be coming back to FARMbloomington and would recommend it only to people I intensely dislike.
Great service & food!
Highly recommended Bloomington restaurant from multiple people in the city. The restaurant lived up to all the expectations. Very good. Local food. Great service.
Dinner on my own but when you come here, who cares? So many delectable summer choices. Important to get the garlic fries, and take at least one other person to share them. Huge portion!! Added one of the summer salads, and had a very good glass of cab. Dessert included a chocolate martini which was delightful. The vanilla ice cream was a little too rich for me, given the martini I ordered. It was good. I just didn't need both and chose the martini. AND go for breakfast. It's amazing. Every. Time.
My husband and I ordered. He had a buffalo burger and I thought I ordered broiled salmon. The waitress misunderstood. We had waited at least 30 minutes before food was brought out. They corrected the mistake and I waited another ten minutes. My husband also waited until my order was served. We weren’t charged for my order, but his with fruit and coffees for us was overpriced.
We love FARM! I was disappointed that the items on the kids menu for brunch were all lunch entrees. My children would've eaten breakfast food much better!
Service was very slow. Chicken breast was dry but others enjoyed their meals.
