Sister restaurant of Kokkari, Evvia has been serving beautiful and elegant Greek cuisine since 1995. Fabulous fish, savory roasted meats, and sun-soaked vegetables are jazzed up with a spritz of lemon, a little olive oil, and herbs. There is perfection in simplicity.

Evvia Ratings and Reviews
Having been a long time Evvia fan I was disappointed in my most recent experience. I was here for a business lunch (party of 2). We did not receive our food for over 50 minutes. The waiter did not check on us during this time but when he brought the food he said it was our own fault because my dining companion had ordered lamb kebabs. The food was good but not as good as I had remembered.
My husband and I were in Palo Alto for a weekend getaway and dined at Evvia. It didn’t disappoint on any level. We had several fabulous meals during our weekend, but this was my favorite! Everything was so flavorful, the meat dishes were tender and amazing, and the atmosphere lovely. Highly recommend.
Been here several times over the years since it opened but it has almost grown too popular. The restaurant is noisy, the chairs are very uncomfortable, the tables are too close to the neighboring tables, the small plates are lacking creativity and flavor. The main menu although good is not exceptional given the price and the loud atmosphere. Its should be exceptional and it is just ok.
Kokari, which is their sister restaurant in San Francisco provides an overall better dining experience. I would rather drive the 33 miles from Palo Alto to San Francisco for a better, more sophisticated dining experience.
There were two BD people in my party. Waiter told us he has their dessert figured out! I thought he was doing that as complementary. But we were charged. The cost is not even worth a minute of my time but as a matter of principal if it was not a treat then we should have been given a chance to chose. If a nice gesture of a treat had been carried out I would have left a tip to compensate anyway. It left me wondering what was it about... sounding like it was a treat and then finding out that it was not.
The moussaka was also not so good.
Stellar as usual, not one thing could have been better, even though my waiter mistook my ordering one of each kind of rose for giving me and my friend two of each, we both decided that was an excellent way to do it and didn't correct him. I could eat a pound of those dolmathes, omg. MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THE PENINSULA.
