Located on the famed St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, Delmonico, the legendary, century-old institution, is an icon in the restaurant industry and has been a cornerstone of traditional Creole dining since 1895. Reopened by Emeril Lagasse in 1998 after an extensive historic renovation, Delmonico continues today serving a modern style of Louisiana's Creole cuisine with Emeril's warm style of service in a grand setting.

The team of Kevin, Reggie and Cory were engaging, funny and professional. Their advice hit the mark. Food and drink were exceptional. We enjoyed the summer crab, corn & watermelon salad. Definitely the food highlights of our trip to NOLA.
Excellent overall. Service was superb
Salt must have been the word of the day. My husband ordered the tuna and there was chunks of salt, the kind they set oysters on. Shaved Brussels sprouts were inedible So much salt. Although they introduced 4 people that would be waiting on us service was very slow and it wasn’t that busy. Very disappointed
Johnny was an amazing waiter and the food was awesome
Emeril’s establishments never disappoint. We make it a point to find one every time we go to a new city. This place has the best service we have ever seen. Johnny and his team were awesome. The food is always amazing.
From start to finish it was a fabulous experience
Everything was amazing! This will definitely be our go-to for special occasions or to impress out of town guests!!!
They were very accommodating, the service was impeccable.
This was the best meal we ever had! The service was outstanding! The only thing that was missing was Emril!
I was so looking forward to Emeril’s Delmonico. Always a fan of Emeril who helped me learn to cook while I was raising my son following a divorce. The collard greens were amazing as expected, and my wife’s fish dinner was perfect. Unfortunately, the fillet was so cold that the butter wouldn’t melt. I even took a picture of it. So disappointing.
Great service, great food, good ambiance while the pianist was playing. The downside was when the large party of guys got louder and drunker, and should have been told to stop dropping F-bombs, by one of the many staff on hand.
First night in NOLA. We wanted to try a famous place. It shined in service and ambiance although I detected some snobbery from the server over my wife’s choice from the wine list. While the food was good, I came away a bit underwhelmed considering where we were at. My Drum Amandine was very good, but I’ve gotten the same or better elsewhere for less. My wife’s filet mignon was unevenly cooked. Again, you can get that anywhere that serves steak. Creamed spinach was very ordinary. We passed on dessert as our enthusiasm waned by that time.
I’ve had better and I’ve had worse. I’m glad we went, but there are many more great restaurants in NOLA to go to before I return to Delmonico.
Second time here and enjoyed my revisit. Great food and service.
Wow is all I can say about everything at Delmonico's. Amazing food, apps, dessert, and drinks. The service was exceptional as was the restaurant table setup. I went for a team dinner and felt like a celebrity-based upon how we were treated. My team could not stop talking about how amazing the food was, even my vegan guest.
Very delicious meal with fresh and locally inspired dishes. The service was extremely attentive!
Paying over $40 for a piece of steak( wagyu ) which is supposed to be very tender to the point where it should melt in your mouth this steak was very chewy would not recommend!
Fabulous food and service! This was first time to dine at Delmonico’s and we will happily come again!
I really don't have enough words to express how great our experience was. It started with the very talented piano player in the bar, then the impeccable service from our team and then the food was some of the best I have ever had in my life.
What a great choice for a Birthday Dinner! It was one for the books!
Delicious food the best steak and sausage platter I have tasted in New Orlean
Very relaxed service. We were upstairs and the waiters were overly familiar with us. One of them literally spun the wine menu on his finger like a basketball. Didn’t know they get their waiters from Applebee’s.
We had a wonderful evening .
Piano Bar music carried over into the downstairs dining area. It was too loud and made it difficult to have a conversation at our place table. Food and service was wonderful!
Dinner at Delmonico's was as expected. We consistently have an outstanding experience at this restaurant. The service was attentive. Our party of 6 sampled several menu options. The Wagyu Coulotte dish was superb (on the specials list).
The meets were cooked to exact specifications.
The bananas foster was excellent and always a pleaser with table side preparation.
The most outstanding: Wagyu beef entre, and chocolate cake with mouse filling for dessert.
Constructive comments: One of our diners ordered the porkchop which was excellent. It came covered with numerous peppercorns which had to be removed to be palatable. Perhaps the waiter might mention this. We would have still ordered it.
Also, there is live music/jazz near the bar in the evenings (don't know the schedule). Diners should know that the noise might be a bit loud if seated at a table nearby. So if the goal is a quiet dinner, I would mention it when making reservations.
We were noisy and very happy with the music.
Servicio muy exclusivo en un bonito restaurante. Eramos 4 y teniamos 4 camareros a nuestro servicio. La carta de vino impresionante (y los precios tambien!!).
Postres muy bien presentados
I was there for enjoyment. I ordered the Duck. It was overcooked. The meal was still very enjoyable.
Excellent food service and great wine list.
One of our favorite places in New Orleans.
Anniversary!! The food was delicious! The service impeccable!! Lee and Corey took extreme care of us and everyone was always checking on us!! This is my husband’s favorite restaurant so we come every year!! I’ll show pictures of the food!! You will never be disappointed with this restaurant!!!
Great food and service as is expected from an Emeril’s restaurant. To no fault of the restaurant some visiting patrons who had too much to drink and were being a little unruly. Service was great and servers and management handled perfectly. Always a fan of Emeril’s restaurants and remain so after this experience.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. What is sad is that I can't leave it at that... That I am forced to write 50 characters or not leave a review.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal time @ Delmonico’s. Had reservations @ 6:15 and were glad we booked early because the noise level was out-of-control by the time we finished & left (7:40ish). Had crab remick and boudin balls for appetizers...lots to eat..expected the boudin balls to have some BAM! to them, but no such luck. The crab remick had a generous amount of lump meat, seasoned well, & the toast rounds accompaniment were well suited for the warm, cheesy crab spread. Entrées were both fish dishes-Louisiana drum & the yellow fin tuna. Thought the drum dish needed more artichoke heart & less fingerling potatoes. The tuna was tasty. We had fried green tomatoes that had unremarkable remoulade...once again, needed some zip, zing no, BAM! to them. The brown butter creamed spinach was tasty, but could have used a tad more cheese...Our cocktails were the best! A Moveable Feast-lots of rum, sweetness of maraschino and tartness of lime...refreshing. Better than a good meal, but not an outstanding meal. On to a different restaurant next time because there are SO MANY to choose from in NOLA.
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and looking forward to returning to Delmonico’s. We ordered the specials for the evening...a $65 tenderloin and a crabmeat pasta with peppers and squid ink. Neither were good. The pasta had probably 2+ cups of peppers and very little crabmeat (contrary to menu) and was so hot I pulled them over and I love spicy food! My husband’s beef was not very good either...had some weird vinegar sauce that just did not work. They comped my meal and we never said anything about my husband’s. The pecan pie did not taste fresh and was disappointing. We still enjoyed the great service and enjoyed our evening, but the food was disappointing. I would say if you go, don’t get the specials.
The service and quality of the food was top notch. So good.. service was beyond incredible.
I have been here a half-dozen times, even pre-Katrina. Food was not up to their standards (Waygu was over-peppered; bisque was not tasty at all). And the two 8-person tables in the upstairs that I had to listen to were boorish and obnoxious. Stop serving overly-alchoholed people , please!
Staff was courteous and prompt. Made special occassion even more memorable by personalizing. Thank you for a GREAT evening!
everything was perfect from starters to desserts
No matter what else you get, do NOT skip the Barbecued Shrimp appetizer! Delectable! All our other dishes were delicious as well and the service was great.
Excellent insulation at this beautiful restaurant. Thanks for not giving in to the noisy restaurant trend!
The food was good but not worth the tab that came with it. Especially not in New Orleans with so many great options that are way cheaper
The wait staff were extremely friendly and professional
