Excellent food and atmosphere. Unfortunately It seemed that they were all preparing for the forced impending closure of the restaurant due to Covid virus. Maitre'd was very nice and friendly as were the staff. Food was of the quality and taste to be expected from a Emirl restaurant. Would go back again(If I could).
The food was simply outstanding and the service was great. Try the boudin balls appetizer. Wow! Can't wait to come back!
Food was excellent. Ambiance was wonderful. The service was not good. When I asked what were the specials, the waiter gave me a crazy look and said look at the front menu. When I asked what the special dessert of the day was, he answered and said, “Cheesecake.” When I asked for the dessert menu, the printed menu said chocolate flan. There were several gnats flying around and we killed three in my napkin. I requested a new one and never received one. My co-worker asked for one and he received it and gave it to me. The waiters were cursing in the hallway. When a co-worker complimented on the background music (classic funk), the waiter said it was horrible and said he (my co-worker) was the only one that liked it. I’m just not used to this level of service at a high-end restaurant.
Everything was absolutely amazing! We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and he had a memorable experience! A huge thank you to the entire staff for making it such!
The experience was a bit disappointing as we had high expectations. I had the shrimp with portabella mushrooms and pasta. The dish was just ok. It was highly seasoned and salted. A little less would have done it.
When I asked for desert the waiter said there was only pecan pie or cookies and milk. Before leaving I noticed he was making Bananas Foster for another table. I asked him why he didn't offer that to us. His response was that he liked the pecan pie. Enough said.
The observation skills of the wait staff is exceptional. It's the little things they do that impress - color coordinated napkins (dark for dark clothes, white for light clothes), replacing incorrectly used silverware, keeping water topped off, quickly removing finished items from the table, being invisible when needed and showing pearly whites when expressing gratitude.
The food? Oh, yeah, the food presentation and quality simply must be experienced in New Orleans.
Kitchen was slow this night. Food was very good as usual.
However our waiter was not up to an Emeril’s standard.
He was not attentive and that made the rest of the experience not as it could’ve been.
The wait staff was amazing and attentive.They were polite,professional and well informed about their menu. The oysters were amazing. Don't go without ordering them. It's not the place to go for gumbo as ours was relatively unremarkable. The steak was tasty but a but overdone...but it well seasoned and the hollandaise was perfect. Overall, I'd reccomend this spot. It's perfect for a cute little date night.
Will not return. I noted the reviews about poor service, long weight time, and questionable food but wanted to give this landmark restaurant a chance. The reviews were correct. Our table was not ready at our reservation time. We were asked to wait at the bar for over 20 minutes- a likely attempt to force us to purchase a beverage. The pace of dinner service was VERY slow. It took over an hour between soup and entree service. My husband's steak was not "dry aged" rather it was rancid. It smelled horrible and we threw it in the trash on the way out. 50$ steak - IN THE TRASH.

We loved our experience at Delmonico's...we made reservations and they seated us very quickly based on our reservation. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It is located in an old New Orleans home. The bar area is small, but very nice. I agree with other reviews that the noise level is somewhat loud, however because of the home that it is in, the ceilings are super high. While beautiful, it isn't conducive to the noise level. The service that we experienced was outstanding! And not just our waiter, but everyone we came in contact with. The food was great and we really enjoyed our choices. We would definitely go back to Delmonico's.

Mac n cheese didn’t have a lot of flavor to it however it was extremely minimal to how amazing every thing else we ordered was !!! It was a wonderful first time experience that we will most definitely repeat !!! We felt special when they gave a a small app and some bubbly complimentary to start off !

Great service! I’d say skip to pecan pie and ice cream but you’d miss the meal. Won’t miss with this restaurant if you’re looking for a special night!

Noise level was actually coming from outside, due to Mardi Gras parades just happening outside the doors of the restaurant. It added a nice, fun appeal for our dining.
The restaurant was fabulous! Can’t rave enough about the food. However, the staff was even better! They absolutely made our first night at NOLA and my husband’s birthday so wonderful!

Absolutely divine! We ordered several dishes for the table and everything was so delicious! It was apparent that every dish was made with love and care - you could see and taste it!
Our favorites were the Jumbo Lump Crabmeat Remick, Baked oysters, Gulf Shrimp Bordelaise, and Ribeye.
The staff was also extremely professional and accommodating.
It was an amazing experience and I can't wait to return.

Party of 6 - Steaks were good; pork chop was overcooked; gumbo was barely warm. Numerous waiters for our table but none seemed to be professionally trained. We will not return.

Inattentive service, water glasses never filled, bread plates removed before bread even was provided, potatoes lyonnaise overcooked, fried green tomatoes (was told an order was four, received six. Wine came after food arrived even though it was as order first. Would not hurry back at all. Too many other great places in New Orleans
Fabulous experience. Service and food exceeded our expectations. I’ve never eaten at any Emeril restaurant so had no idea what to really expect.. Portions were actually nice sized. The value was great considering all of this. We’d definitely eat here again.
Charcuterie plate was beautiful and had plenty of nice food other than the items you select. Simple iceberg wedge was dressed nicely and made to be special. Steak tartar was delicious. Wild boar Ragu was over the top excellent. Everything was perfectly prepared and presented.
Had not been in 15 years. Everything was great. Had the duck breast and crawfish gnocchi special. Both were outstanding. Dirty rice side dish was OK. Brussel sprouts were fair as well. Cocktails and wine were both great.
I do wish it was all a little less expensive, but I believe you mostly get your money out of it

21st wedding anniversary
Food was good but server didnt bring out everything we ordered. told us after our entrees came and we asked for our sides he informed us that the sides were sold out. Then just in a hurry to leave my husband just glanced at total and left money for bill, later looking back at reciept seen that we were charged for a 60$ bottle of wine that we didnt order or recieve.
Lobster gnocchi was great, salads were good, entrees were decent. Host couldn’t stay off his phone and was more interested in sharing texts with his coworker than greeting/seating us which isn’t what you’d expected. Table service was friendly but slow. Noise level is unreal. Oh, most entertaining is that we got to see a fist fight at the back door between a bunch of kitchen staff, which was cool...you don’t get that from every restaurant. I will say the floor manager overseeing the wait staff tried very hard to be on top of everything. He was awesome if only he had more to work with.
The food was great. Our server was horrible and rude. He didn’t even tell us his name. Worst part is tipping bad service.
We went during the middle of a Mardi Gras parade. You could actually watch as the parade went by. Fun. Food was fabulous. We had the scalllop and sirloin specials. Even though we showed up an hour and a half early they were still gracious to us. All good. Next time I would go for the happy hour specials!

The food was good, but we had to wait 45 minutes past the time of our reservation to be seated, and there was no space available to sit and wait. After we ordered we tried to change an entree in our order, but we were told it was too late even though just a few minutes had passed. Overall the experience was ok, but definitely not worth the long wait.
Environment was great, as was the service. With the exception of the Mac and cheese, everything was delicious. Mac and cheese had a sweet taste to it.

Couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to have dinner on Valentines Day! We both ordered the Scallops, which was a special of the day. For appetizers my husband chose the Cheek and I had the Shaved Brussels Sprouts. Everything was wonderful! For dessert, we had the Banana Foster. Wait staff was outstanding.
